Scratch is a programming language designed to help educate children and adults about programming concepts and actions. It is the latest in a range of educational tools stretching back to Logo in the 1960 s. The logo was a great idea because it is easy for children to understand that their programming actions have real-world effects moving an electronic mouse around. Scratch is similar in concept, except you are constructing computer animations.
